Setting up a Static Routing Table in Cisco

RouterA (Cisco 2514)

Eth0 – 192.168.1.10

Eth1 – 192.168.2.10

S0 – 192.168.254.9 (Branch Office)

RouterB (Cisco SOHO 91)

Eth0 – 192.168.1.9

Eth1- 215.213.84.152 (DSL)

RouterC (Cisco SOHO 91)

Eth0 – 192.168.2.9

Eth1- 200.205.149.13 (DSL)

I’m trying to create another full subnet (192.168.2.0) with a separate gateway.

How do I setup the static routing for this in each of the routers?

Re: Setting up a Static Routing Table in Cisco

Hi,

To setup static routes on cisco routers use the following command :

conf t

ip route x.x.x.x y.y.y.y z.z.z.z

where x.x.x.x --> Destination network

y.y.y.y --> Destination network mask

z.z.z.z --> Next hop IP or outgoing interface

Try setting up the routes using the method able for you destination network from a praticular network.

Re: Setting up a Static Routing Table in Cisco

RouterA (Cisco 2514)

Eth0 – 192.168.1.10

Eth1 – 192.168.2.10

S0 – 192.168.254.9 (Branch Office – 192.168.3.10)

RouterB (Cisco SOHO 91)

Eth0 – 192.168.1.9

Eth1- 215.213.84.152 (DSL internet)

RouterC (Cisco SOHO 91)

Eth0 – 192.168.2.9

Eth1- 200.205.149.13 (DSL internet)

In RouterA I typed in the following:

ip route 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.2.9

Then in RouterC I typed in the following:

ip route 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.2.10

I also, tried

ip route 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.10

Within the RouterC I pinged 192.168.1.10 and I get success rate is 0 percent (Times out). However, I can ping 192.168.1.9. And PC’s on the 2-dot subnet can ping 192.168.1.10.

In RouterA I ping everything.

I can ping 192.168.2.9, 2.10, 3.10

Re: Setting up a Static Routing Table in Cisco

Hi,

Can you brief about the connectivity among all three routers and also brief about the where you are going to use 192.168.2.0 subnet?
