Hi:
I connected a MGX8830 with Catalyst 8540 with ATM OC-3, running PNNI. Now the PNNI connection is good, PNNI neighbor could be seen on either of the machine box, and a SVC was setup successfully.
Here is my questions:
1. To create a SPVC from RPM to PXM, I need to define a SPVC slave on PXM first. When I type the command
mgx8830.1.PXM.a > addcon 1 13 1200 2 2
I got the error message
ERR: SPVC is not allowed on this interface (dcmp)
what does it mean? Do I lost some addtional configuration?
2.In RPM documents, I was suggested to do the parition and pvc creating by using the "rpmrscprtn" and "addcon" in the global configuratio mode. But when I try these two commands, the message shows:
mgx8830(config)#rpmrscprtn pnni 100 100 0 255 0 3840 4080
% Use switch command.
I search the documents, there has no info about this "swtich command". Can you give me a hint?
3. I created a CES circuit from one of the MGX8830's ces ports to the other ces port on Catalyst 8540. The admin staus of this circuit is up while the state is down. So i did a test, try to connect one port to another port on the same MGX8830, it was OK. Does that mean there havs problem in the ATM trunk?
It would be very appreciate if you could give some hints.
