Show counters on Cat switch

Anyone know what this field means when you do a show counters (dmaMacMismatch) ? If this field is incrementing what does it mean ?

There is no need to worry about the counter "dmamacmismatch". It does not count an error of any kind. This counter is used to keep track of CDP packets.

The dmaMacMismatch counter is not a failure nor cause for concern. The DMA Mac mismatch counter is used to track the CDP frames that are being received by that port. It is one way of identifying the frames destined to a specific multicast address 01-00-0c-cc-cc-cc. This counter is used only for internal debug purposes.
