SHOW IP PIM RP MAPPING command

I have an mcast query.

We run PIM-SM using BSRs.

There are about 23 mcast groups and only 7 are active.

Every 60 seconds, the group to RP mappings are flooded through the network hop-by-hop via a PIM message type 4 packet (bootstrap).

In this packet there are what appears to be the active mcast groups in the body of the packets.

This co-insides with the output of the "show ip pim rp" command.

When you do a "show ip pim rp mapping" command you get the following, which indicates (via the expiry timer) that you get an update of all permitted mcast groups (via some update packet - maybe the bootstrap packet?), but I don't see any reference to all of the 23 mcast groups in the bootstrap packet, only the 7 active mcast groups

Can anyone help?
