From the above, i have enabled snmp and necessary logging. But the line - "SNMP notifications not enabled" where should this be enabled and what is it affecting.

You can enable SNMP trap types individually by using the authentication, linkup, linkdown or coldstart keywords with the snmp-server enable traps snmp command.
