show multicast group x.x.x.x

I'm monitoring a mcast feed with the sho mcast group command on a switch, I start the feed, and it take 2-4 minutes for the port to show up in command, but the video feed works, and if you do a sho mac you see the mcast transmitting, any way to explain the delay?

cat 4006 sup 2 version 5.5.(18), sometimes it shows up quick, sometimes it doesn't, is seems like it in some refresh cycle, if you hit it late in refresh cycle, it appears instantly, but if you join group just after cycle refreshed, it takes up to 3 or 4 minutes.
