I have a bunch of WIC-1ADSL cards that I'd I am unsure if they are working or not - and I'd like to test them.. I do not have an ADSL connection, but some other cisco routers, cards and stuff. Is it possivble to simute an ADSL connection ? If not, is there some reasonable affordable test equipment I could buy ? Or would it make sense, to purchase an ADSL connection through any given ISP - and do my testing through that.
As ADSL is assymetric, you cannot make back-to-back connections between 2 ADSL WICs and you require a DSLAM to train the line. I do not know which test equipement could be used, maybe someone else can answer that. As a last resort, obtaining an ADSL line for a telco could be the solution.
