Singapore: AS5300 | analog dial in

Hello,

we have problems in Singapore to dial in analogous over

the public network. The modems does tain up - but they do

not come to an end. Locking down to V34 did not help.

Disabling compression did not help.

We use 2.9.4.0 MICA firmware.

The modemcap is the following:

&F&D2S54=16584S0=0S29=12S21=0S62=8S63=3S34=18000S40=10S10=50

I even tried to dial out on the AS5300 and dial in on an other modem of the very same AS5300. If I call through the pulic telco network in Singapore,

I will not have connection. On the other hand if I call internally - without the pulic telco network in Singapore -, everything works fine.

Any ideas? Any suggestions concernig a "better" modemcap or better client dial in settings for Singapore public telco network?

When you say you are calling internally, does it mean two ports on the controller card are connected back to back (with T1 cross-over cable) and we are directing a call out of one into the other? If the call thru the telco switch is failing then maybe we have excessive noise on the line , does "show controller e1" show any errors?....Listening on the client modem end, does the trainup sound appear that both the modems (client & as5300) are exchanging tones or is it just that both ends are sending the tones but are not hearing each other (cross path)?

1)Has this ever worked before or is it a new install?

2)What type of signalling do we have, PRI or E1-R2?

3) What IOS image do we have on the as5300?

4)Are we testing with a non v.92 or v92 modems

Hello Mak,

thank you very much. Internally - the AS5300 is connected to an E1 Interface

of a Hicom PBX. Therefore I mean internally = without the public telco network.

Show controller e1 does not show up any error.

The trainup sound appear. Everything seems to be correct.

1.) Yes, it is a new install.

2.) How can I find it out?

This is a PRI line, can you please send the following debug outputs for a single call into the as5300 (with msec timestamps):

I would recommend that you involve the Telco who has provided the PRI lines, from the above debugs the variable is the PRI lines comming in from the Telco.

CSCdv02248 is specific to Xircom client modem, however that was an old issue which is not seen any more.

the PRI is the very same in the debugs above. The PRI is connected to our

PBX. The connection between AS5300 and PBX is the same in the three

constellations.
