Re: 'sleep for' at level 4 ERROR

This looks like an IOS bug to me. Have seen similar error messages, happening in diff router models. I am not sure about a workaround for this, but if you keep getting this message continously every second, you should consider opening a case with Cisco TAC. One such similar bug is with ID, (with "sleep for at level 3") is CSCdw20801. This neednt be the reason in your case, though.

Did the router crash by anychance (get reloaded due to software crash). Please provide outputs of "show stack", "show version" for further troubleshooting, if the router did crash.

Re: 'sleep for' at level 4 ERROR

Thanks for your reply. This error only occurs during booting. It does not occur continuously. I have 2 other 1601R's, so I have been able to try other IOS's. I still get the same errors on the bad 1601R. The other 1601's work fine with the IOS from the BAD 1601R. The bad 1601R did not crash. I would think this would indicate a hardware problem, but I can't find any info about these errors. Maybe it is a ROM problem. Thanks for your help.

Re: 'sleep for' at level 4 ERROR

When a 1600 doesn't have any start-up config and it is booted, sometimes it freaks for a moment and gives traceback messages. If there is anything 'saved' in the startup config, you don't see any of that.
