I am running SMS 2.0 , CD one edition 4 and the java patch, RME 3.3 on a Dell PowerEdge 1650. If I login to the server and open Service Level Manager => Configure Collection Manager, the java screen gets opened. I clicked on the local server to see which devices are managed and then click close. At this point the Internet explorer 5.5 will hang and u can only get out of this situation by opening Windows task manager and then end the process. This will then close your Internet browser completely which means u can not configure the collection manager. The OS is microsoft 2000 server with service pack 2. Internet explorer 5.5 with service pack 2. The dell has 2 gig of RAM and 60 Gg of disk.
I installed this on a compaq and a intel clone machine without any problems. Anyone had this problem before on Dell?
