snmp-server host A.B.C.D traps MYNAME, what does this statement do ?

This is part of a config in an existing 3640. CAn you explain what it does ?

this configuration means

that this router will send snmp traps to the host a.b.c.d with the MYNAME community name .

a.b.c.d ip address is the managmet systems ip address . you will "authenticate" to it with the MYNAME community string.
