SNMP through PIX

I am trying to setup SNMP monitoring for my two Internet routers, but I can't get the SNMP traps through the firewall to my monitoring workstation. I have even placed my workstation in the same VLAN, but still haven't been successful. I opened up the SNMP port 162 for both TCP and UDP in my access-list and have created a static route from each router to my workstation. What am I missing?

Re: SNMP through PIX

Noticed this URL, while looking for SNMP through IOS NAT info.

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/110/pixsnmp.html#s_through

Please note that I have not tried this setup.

Re: SNMP through PIX

Not sure, but do you have a one-to-one NAT translation for your management station on the firewall? Maybe the traps do not know how to get to the management station.

You might want to consider using probes or something on the internet segment and only ICMP pings to the router from the management station.
