snmp V3

I was looking through the Cisco managment forum and found the following: there is no plans for SNMPv3 support in CW2000. Note that SNMPv2c doesn't give you more security. Note also that CW2000 uses a lot of other unsecure protocols like tftp, telnet and rcp.

Please could you confirm if this is correct, if not could you piont me to where i can configure this as we need to secure the payload between the devices.

Re: snmp V3

CW2000 currently does not support SNMPv3.

Re: snmp V3

On last years Networkers conference in Copenhagen, the statement regarding SNMPv3 support in CW2000 was :

"nothing planned"

seems that network management security is not one of the highest priorities in CW2000 but to be fair: there are not so many other NM tools that support SNMPv3

Re: snmp V3

From the same conference you should look at session NCM-280 "Management in secure environments". This might give you some ideas on how to increase security without SNMPv3.
