SONET ring - Instating procedure

Hello,

One of my clients is installing a SONET ring and they asked us to replace the current fractional T1 circuit. Since I never installed a SONET ring, I was wondering someone could help me out on some questions that I have.

What key information do I need from the client?

What information do I need to provide to the client?

Who do I connect, the LEC or long distance carrier?

What kind of potential issues can I encounter?

Do I need to make changes on the router? ( config - different encapsulation )
