Source Base Routing in PIX and 2500

Hi All Pro.

I need your advice on how to route traffic based on Source Network IP on PIX515 and C2500.

I am not sure that which technology will be needed. Please help me on it.

Thank you in advance.

Policy Routing does it on Cisco routers. Don't know if PIX's have such functionality.

Re: Source Base Routing in PIX and 2500

Thanks to tbaranski for your reply. However am I need to implement the other technology such as BGP? or only route policy?

can I also use route policy for default route? eg. Network A go default routed using router A and Network B go default routed using Router B on the same LAN.

Many Thanks.

Re: Source Base Routing in PIX and 2500

You don't need to implement BGP for source-based routing, and you can do the type of default routing you asked about. See http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1835/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00800c75d2.html for some configuration instructions.

Re: Source Base Routing in PIX and 2500

To my knowledge, there is no source-based routing on the PIX firewall.
