SPAN forwarding to Sniffer

I am trying to verify what and what not a SPAN port will forward to a destination port with a Sniffer on it in order to use the monitor alarms. If someone could please verify if I am right or wrong on these or if there is anything to add. Thanks in advance. Dave

Will forward:

Octets

Packets

Broadcasts

Multicasts

Undersized

Oversized

Fragments

Size Distributed Packets

Will NOT Forward:

CRCs (it will only see the CRC between the Sniffer and SPAN port)

Dropped packets

Jabbers

Collisions
