Span on Fast Ethernet

Hi, i need span a port (Fast Ethernet) on a Catalyst 6509, i have two vlans, and when i set the port to span, the port gets down, and it doesn't work...

... someone have some idea?

i did this question yesterday, bun no answers

please help me...

Spanning Tree is a protocol to prevent Network loops.. nothing else.. I'm sure if you tell everyone on the Forum exactly what you need to do, I or someone else can help you more..

The question is regarding SPAN (Swithed Port ANalyzer). NOT SPT (Spanning Tree Protocol). A SPAN port is used in conjunction with a network sniffer to analyze traffic. Without one, not all traffic would cross the switched port because of the Mac-address specific switched architecture.

Yes, i appreciate the help, but i did solve the problem....

i was failing in no put the inpkts parameter...
