Does anyone encountered the strange problem - the traffic gathered from SPAN sesssion in only udirectional. As a SPAN source I use VLAN which is located between the FWSM and CSM cards. On the destination SPAN port I can only see packets coming from CSM to the FWSM, but not from FWSM to CSM (they should be there). Is there any hardware/software limitation?
I don't think that there are limitations but you have to take the returned packet into consideration, if the packet is routed, spanning a vlan will and might show one way only as the returned packet might be coming from a different vlan.
