Span port 6500 12.1-(20)E MSFC2 inpkts

From my research, it looks as if the CatOS had an inpkts keyword with spanning ports that allowed the SPAN port to receive normal incoming traffic. Is there an option like that in the IOS/MSFC2 configuration? Thanks.

That feature is not supported in Native IOS code for Cat6000:

Features Not Supported

•Ability to accept ingress traffic on SPAN destination ports (CatOS equivalent - set span ... inpkts enable)

Contacting your local Cisco SE would be the first step. Feature request are done based on business case, and feasability of the feature.

Thanks, now I know where to find that type of information. I wonder if I can make this a feature request?

Actually there is a request already submitted and it will be in the next release of 12.2 IOS

Thanks for the update, that is great news. I wish there was a way to keep up with all of this information!
