SPAN question

Is it possible to create a spanning tree loop by using the SPAN function in a 6509 . A couple of times now when we inserted a NAM into a 6509 and have spanned ports to the NAM within a couple of hours we appear to have caused a major spanning tree loop which caused major problems on the network . Are there certain things you should not do when using a span session , particularly to a NAM ? It's not a NAM problem as we had the NAM replaced with a new one from CIsco after the 1st incidence .

Hello,

On this url, you can see that a bridging loop can be created with using Span function :

I have not met the phenomen yet.

Good luck.
