Spanning tree issue:BKN

Hi,

Here's the output from a show spanning-tree command on a 3550:

sh spanning-tree vlan 800

VLAN0800

Spanning tree enabled protocol ieee

Root ID Priority 33568

What does the BKN* stand for and how does this condition occur?

Broken state (BKN*) is for an inconsistency status.
