Is it recommended or not to enable portfast on a port connected to a router?

You can enable portfast on a port that is directly connected to a specific host (router, PC, etc.) without issue. It's a good idea to always have portfast disabled on switch-to-switch ports.

Is the port being used as an access port or trunk port. disable portfast on a trunk port, enable it on an access port.

Hi, it's possible to enable PortFast on a trunk port if it's connected to a router ("router on the stick" interVLAN routing, e.g.)

for details.
