Splitting a voice T3 in AS5400

Hi y'all,

I've got an AS5400 with a voice T3 (only using 27 T1s) and 648 modems. At present it works fine. Calls come in on one phone number and it uses auto command to open a TCP connection to a "special" host. All calls use one phone number and all calls open a connection to the same host.

Now they want me to peel off a T1 and give it another phone number and make calls that come in on it open connections to a different "special" host.

Sprint says they can break up the T3 as mush as we want. The question is how to make the AS5400 deal with it. I think it can be done. I'm looking for some confirmation and/or guidance.

Here's a piece of what I have now. This is a voice T3.

The object is to make calls that come in from a particular number connect to a particular host. I dont think I can identify the "called number" on a voice T3 so I'm trying to split up the lines in the AS5400 to match the T1 that is split off the T3.

I think that when they split a T1 off I need to identify it and assign it a different ds0-group #. Then I need to create another async-group using that number and give it a group range that will cover 24 lines. Then at the line statements split those lines off and change the autocommand to connect to the other host.

Can anyone tell me if this will work before I have to commit to management?
