Splitting CW2000 on two servers

Hello,

I need to split CW2000 on two servers (or more) . Can anyone tell me which modules are required to be together and which can be alone on a dedicated server. I am using LMS 2.1 with RME,CM,DFM,Ciscoview, IPM,ACL, and ciscoview.

Currently I have LMS2.1 with RME,CM, DFM and ciscoview all on one box, But I need to add IPM, ACL and AAA as well. If I add the above my box (Win2000P, P4-2.4,1G Ram,enough of space on the HD)would start to cry. I manage approx. 1500 devices.

Also how do the boxes communicate with each other when they are on separate machines (how does rme talk to cm etc?)

Thanks in advance

Since you have a large number of devices, have a look at: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/wr2k/prodlit/ckspp_wp.htm

1GB may not be enough for 1500 devices, ACL Manager depends on RME, therefore RME need to be installed first before you can install ACL Manager. Also, CiscoView is part of the CD-One CD, therefore you don't need to install it spearately. All applications require that CD-One to be installed first. You can have one server with CD-One, RME, ACL Manager, and DFM and the other with CM, IPM as one possibility. Keep AAA/Cisco Secure totally separate of both. As for exchanging the info between thw two, doing a Device Sync to/from RME/CM is one option. Thanks Mushtaq,

Thats the exact info I needed. (Faster than TAC even!) As for the memory , thats one of the reasons (other CPU - only using single) I want to split it and see the diff.
