Squeeze Operation, CAT5500 ver4.1.2

Cannot squeeze deleted files. Type in "squeeze bootflash:" Get prompt -

"All deleted files will be removed, proceed(y/n)[n]? y

This next prompt is skipped over and goes directly to the command prompt.

"Squeeze operation may take a while, proceed(y/n)[n]?

Has anyone had this problem? I need to upgrade a lot of switches and really don't want to do a lot of flash formatting.

Try with a different telnet application. I have had secure CRT do it a few times once.

Try consoling in through com port on your PC

What platform and what software? There have been several telnet bugs that cause this problem. I recommend using the console port and upgrading the code, that should take care of it for good.
