SSH Access to internet router

Is it possible to configure an SSH service (as opposed to a telnet service) to run on a 2610 (ios c2600-io3-mz.123-6f.bin)?

Re: SSH Access to internet router

Shikamaru,

It is possible to run Secure Shell on a 2610 and you need a crypto (IPSEC) image or feature set.

The feature set that you are currently running on the router is "IP/FW/IDS", which does not support SSH. You may have to go with "IP/FW/IDS PLUS IPSEC 3DES BASIC". Before download and upgrading your router, make sure there is sufficient Flash and RAM.

Please refer the below URL for details:

Let me know if it helps.

Regards,

Arul
