Stacking 3750-48 and 3750-24 Switches

I have several closets running 3750-48s stacked with the backbone cables. I need to add at least one more switch to the stack but I currently only have 3750-24s and no budget. ;)

Will the 3750-24s stack with the 3750-48 or will I run into a configuration mismatch?

Thanks,

Rod

As long as they are running the same IOS, they should form a stack. All 3750 will form a stack with one another just as long as they are running the same IOS.

According to below link. It does not indicate the 3750 cannot stack to other model of 3750, so I believe it works. However, it cannot stack w/3550 due to different stack technologies.

Thanks for all the help. I ran into the same problem before with the 3550s. So I was not sure about the 24s and 48s and I did not have an extra 48 out of production to test with.

Thanks again,

Rod
