5 2950 stacked together, using one gigastack module/switch, a redundant link from the last switch to the first switch. Also with a GBIC and fibre connection in first and last 2950 to 2 core switches. The loop breaker is in the third(middle) switch as told by the port B being amber.
If I disconnect the fibre connection to core switch in the first 2950, I lost all connectivity from the 2950 switch stack to core switch. Also the GBIC slot LED of the first and second switches(not the LED on Gigastack module) become amber, while all other LEDs remain the same.
What's wrong with this setup? Should I not use the redundant link from the last 2950 to the first one?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
