Disadvantage of GigaStacking is the "backbone" runs at Gigabit half-duplex.
Optimum performance would be achieved if each switch were directly connected to a Gigabit backbone switch like a 3508G, 3550-12T or 3550-12G. But it will cost more than GigaStack; and you may not need maximum performance.
