Dear All , .

Soon, we bought a new 3550 that we have connected on the 2nd gib interface of a cat 3524 and we also connected one link on the FE 0/24 to a 3548 for failover

The pathcost for each Switch is as follow .

Cat 3524 (081) Int FE 0/24 pathcost = 10 (directly linked on the 3548)

CAt 3524 (081) Int gi 0/1 pathcost 15 (linked on the 3550)

CAt 3524 (081) Int gi 0/2 pathcost 4 ( directly linked on the 3508 )

Cat 3550 (New) Int FE 0/24 pathcost = 10 (directly linked on the 3548)

Cat 3550 (New) Int Gi 0/2 pathcost= 4 (linked on the 3524)

My question is :

When we test the failover, it work perfectly , I mean , IF the Gib interface is down the FE take the relay , but when the Gi is up again , The Fe interface still stay in Forwarding state and the gib interface in blocking state

This is not correct, normally the gib interface should take the forwarding state .

I hope someone can help me ..

Check the minimum IOS version reqd for the switches used in the configuration. The following link provides the information
