Static route 1-way or 2-way after OSPF redistribution?
I have 4 routers in Area 0 and router A is the ABR connecting to a Extranet. I have a static route configured on router A pointing to a destination client network.
I'm redistributing the client static route into OSPF Area 0 using a route-map and prefix-list so other routers can learn it. My question is, after the redistribution, for other routers in the area, do they know the static route is the way both to and from the client destination or just the traffic to the destination?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
