Static route using DNS name

Hi Guys,

I am just wondering if there is a way in IOS to configure a static route to a host using its FQDN. (IP is dynamically assigned, DDNS).

No, but you could always set up a static route pointing to that hosts ip address. To find out the IP of the FQDN just do a nslookup on it.

Thanks, The problem is IP dynamically assigned by the ISP, so after a while it will not work.
