STE interface with CISCO WIC-1T

Has anyone had any experience and success interfacing CISCO WIC-1T modules with the EIA-530A port on a STE (L3 Communications) secure telephone?

We have had little luck in getting these interfaces to work together.

The WIC-1T is a WAN port for router-to-router communications. Encapsulation options would be HDLC, PPP, Frame Relay, X25, etc. My experience with the STE is limitted to having read product literature a year or two ago. Is it IP based? I'll send you my e-mail address offline.
