Stopping extended ping for sweep range of sizes.

Anybody know how you stop the extended ping when you select sweep range of sizes ? I have tried ctrl+shift+6 release and x but it just keeps on going until my session times out

Hello,

I have noticed the same thing with Hyperterminal, especially when connected through a Telnet session, sometimes you have to keep Ctrl+Shift+6 pressed for a couple of seconds before it actually takes effect.

You could try to configure an escape character in your VTY and/or console session:

line con 0

escape-character 127

line vty 0 4

escape-character 127

The 127 means that the Esc (Escape) key is actually the break key, might be worth trying. Or try to restore the default:

line con 0

escape-character default

line vty 0 4

escape-character default

HTH,

Georg
