STP/GLBP

Hi All

Can someone take a look at this PDF:

http://www.cisco.com/application/pdf/en/us/guest/netsol/ns432/c649/cdccont_0900aecd801a8a2d.pdf

On page 40, figure 41 - with VLAN 2 present on two access layer switches, and both switches uplinked to the two core switches.

In this configuration, wouldn't one of the uplinks be blocked?

Or am I missing something...?

Thanks

Re: STP/GLBP

figure 40 shows 2 blocked paths, one uplink from both of the access switches.

figure 41 shows 1 blocked path, the path between the distribution switches.

this is normal behavior under the configurations shown.

since the 2 access switches are not connected together, there would be no uplink path blocked in figure 41.

Re: STP/GLBP

You sure?

There are four switches - two distribution, two access.

Access A is conx to Dist A, which is connected to Access B, which is connected to Dist B, which is connected to Access A. That's a loop right?

One of those links must be blocked no?

Re: STP/GLBP

I personally think they mistakenly put VLAN2 on both Access Switches.

OK - just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something obvious...
