STP tool

Hi,

Is there a tool that makes it possible to scan your network and draw the total spanning tree ?

Re: STP tool

Greetings:

l2trace command may help. It works on a smaller scale.

From Cisco: "Use the l2trace command to display the Layer 2 path taken by the packets that start at a specified source address and end at a specified destination address."

URL: http://cco-rtp-1.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat6000/sw_7_4/cmd_ref/ghi_cmd.htm#xtocid4

Hope this helps,

Re: STP tool

This will only work if all your switches are running at least 6.X code , anything below 6.X won't have l2trace .

Re: STP tool

Hi,

try FlukeNetworks LAN MapShot

http://www.flukenetworks.com/us/LAN/Monitoring+Analysis+Diagramming/LAN+MapShot/Overview.htm

But it works only for VLAN1 (the older version I've got, I don't know how works the latest version).
