STP uplinkfast problem

Cisco document said:

We do not recommend using the UplinkFast feature on switches with more than 20 active VLANs because convergence times might be unacceptably long.

Can anybody explain it ? Why convergence times might be unacceptably long ?

I suspect it may be the sw/hw limitation that only Cisco internal can tell the reason.

If there is such issue, you can consider to use RSTP instead.
