i've connected 2 2950 switches by 2 links, on what basis stp blocks switch port even if both the ports are having same link speed say 100mbps & same bandwidth.

Hi Deepak,

In this case, STP will block the interface with the highest port priority.

Lets say if an interface has pripority 128.2 and other one has 128.3, the later one will be blocked.

Do " show spanning-tree interface x/y" and it will tell you the priority assigned and will block it on the basis of priority.
