the switch is stating that there are features applied to vlan 40 that do not use the same mls flowmask. some of the traffic may be software switched because of this.

What features do you have applied to vlan 40 ? Issue a "show fm interface vlan 40" to find out.

Are you running SLB with the Nat server command applied to one of the slb vservers ?
