Suspect 5505 Gig Uplink Modules

In recent times we have had a high number of Gig ports on our 5505's sup 3 cards, running up errors (you see runts and giants on the far end) and eventually going faulty where even getting a link light up is an effort. It doesn't seem to be version related - we've tried 5.5(4b),(12)and now (12a)- all up 4 failures in 3 months. The weird thing is - if I reset the chassis, the errors disappear for a few days and then gradually increase to the point where the link is almost unusable. We've got spares and CISCO TAC swap them for us...but is anyone else getting similar problems?

Have u checked the physical cable itself? Our problem was due to the fibre cable though....but the symptoms are pretty much the same...

What connects to these uplink ports? If its configured as a Trunk port, please check for any Trunk misconfigurations. Also do you see any FCS errors or alignment errors on either side of the link?
