SWIM and problems uploading code

Can someone confirm that if a device does not support the flash_mib then an attempted SWIM upgrade would fail as per the following error message:

Documentation implies that the 2950s are supported but this customer is experiencing problems with his SWIM upgrades. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Yes, IDU 3.0 is installed. Any other suggestions?

Re: SWIM and problems uploading code

The flash MIB is only needed when you want to import the image to the library. For distribution it's not needed, so that's not the reason for this failure. What type of image are you distributing? tar or bin file?

Re: SWIM and problems uploading code

Make sure the solftware version of the 2950 is at or above the version listed in

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/cscowork/ps2073/products_device_support_table09186a00800e7ae3.html

The answer is the mib isn't supported in the device. If you walk the mib in the device you'll be able to confirm this. There were several challenges with the 2950s so make sure the code is up the specs at a minimum.

Re: SWIM and problems uploading code

The current image is 12.1.9EA2C and trying to upgrade to 12.1.9EA1D, both images are bin images.
