I´ve recently deployed a switched solution using 30 Catalyst 3500. They´ve been connected performing a 'big bus'.
Connections:
Switches installed by pairs. 100Mb UTP cross-over connection between each switch of the pair.
Pairs connected using fiber links. One of the switches connected to the previous pair on the previous location and the other switch connected to the next pair on the next location.

This disign is working, I mean, there is connectivity between each end of the bus. I´ve read that only 7 switches connected are supported in daisy-chain configuration and this desing is like a daisy-chain but with 30 switches.
¿What kind of problems could I have in the future with this design?
