I connected a 2900 switch in my office couple days ago for more port density, it works good, but it is sending bootp request to one the internal vlans every 30 seconds. switch is not configured with any ip. is there a way to turn off bootp.please help.
Thanks.

nick,

The managment interface of the switch is attempting to find an IP address via bootp since you have not assigned one. Easiest way to stop this behavior is to assign an IP address to the management interface.
