switch lights flashing amber 8 times

I have 2 3548XL switches that will occasionally go form normal green blinking to all amber flashes (8 times) then back to green flashes. Console connection will not work, it says "low on memory, try again later. After some time, the switch reboots.

can you post the output of the command:

show stacks

This could give an indication of a reason for the reboot.

I ran your output through the stack decoder but nothing came up. Amber LEDs usually mean extremely high loads on the interface. Can you check if during these problem periods something or somebody is sending or receiving a lot of data ?

Yeah,

It usually involves 2 servers, one on each serverfarm switch doing a copy or restore of data form a mssql database.
