We have a Catalyst 4506 Chassis (WS-C4506) with sup II+ engine running IOS 12.2(20)EW. After a power shutdown we noticed that the switch didnt come up. The SUP LED's were showing AMBER and other line cards were in RED state. In the console we noticed that the switch was booting in rommon mode. When we gave a command "boot" the switch booted with the flash IOS image and is working fine now. We need to make sure that this doesnt happen next time and to fix this issue.
Has anyone faced similar issue before. If anyone faced the issue, what was the fix for this.

The configuration register on the switch is 0x2102 now. Is this fine. What is the default config register value in 4506 switches. Plz help me on this.
