Switching Modes and Forwarding latencies

Hi, i'm doing some research in audio networking, and i would like to know somethings about cisco switches, from the latency point of view:

- What type of switching mode do they use (store-and-foward, cut-t, frag-free)?

- What are the forwarding latencies of cisco switches?

- And in layer 3 switching?

Of course, most of this things change from model to model. I'm specially interested in the 2950/3500 range , but other information is welcome too.

I need to analise every aspect that could influence the latency on a switch.

Catalyst switches are doing store-and-forward switching. Regarding the switching latencies, I am not aware of any flowcharts showing them. To get such information, you should try to contact your local Cisco Sales representative or Account team. If there are such figures, they should have them.
