switching/routing

I have a non-profit organization with the following infrastructure:

3640 w/2FE and 4 serial interfaces (FE0/0 severs, FE0/1 WKS)

3 3548 on one subnet (workStations)

1 3548 on another subnet (servers)

the 3 3548s are connected via GBICS with one connection to the server's switch.

How can this setup be enhanced on to further provide an efficient switching and routing between subnets without purchasing new equipment?

Re: switching/routing

It seems like you have 3 FE interfaces connected to the 3640, on 0/0 you have one 3548 connected and other3x 3548 you have workstations connected..

You also mentioned that the 3 3548s are connected to the server switch which is on differernt subnet.. What is the reason of connecting server switch to the workstations switches. Since these are two different subnets, this is not a good idea to connect the server switch to the workstation switches,
