i am suppose to deploy 100 user campus network in a hall within a buiding using cisco swithches ,i wonder the type of swithch i will use for this ,the client wants a 1:1 redundancy on the critical path ,pls advice
There are many options for you. If you looking for 100 users and only looking for layer 2 capabilities then Cat4006 series would work the best. This switch also come with the supervisor module( supervisor 3) which can do both layer 2/3 functionality.Has the features for support voice.
and here is the general link for the catalyst 6000 ( which is also a good choice and all other cisco switches. which is also the good choice )
