I would like to configure Cisco2520 as NTP time server of my domain and need the Domain Controller to sync time with cisco2520. Please somebody give me the link to information related to this issue. Any advice, tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank in advance.

Regards.

Hi,

I think you just need an NTP client for your Windows server.

I read somewhere that Automachron (http://www.oneguycoding.com/automachron/) is an excellent solution (but I never tested it personally).

In Windows 2000 Server package included time server.

See following links:

You can select master NTP server on the AD Domain Controller by use command:

net time /setsntp:server_list

And use your 2500 router as NTP master.

All domain members sync time with DC at boot/enter to Domain.

But there are some problems. 2500 Router isn't save time after reload, so in case of any reboot or power shootdown your network time will be set to Year 1993. It is not a good idea to use router as time source.
