Syslog Collector Status

We are running LMS 2.1 to monitor 12 Cat 5500 switches and a couple of 2610 routers. Upon running the Syslog Analysis Standard Reports on all the switches, we are getting a message that no records found and a recommendation to make sure logging has been enabled on the devices. We have enabled logging on all the switches via the following commands:

set logging server enable

set logging server 172.21.72.100 (the IP address of the CW2K server).

When we look at the Syslog Collector Status, it indicates that there're a total of 18 messages and all of them are Invalid. How do we determine why these messages are invalid and what's going on?

Thanks.

_ Alex

p.s. the log file has a whole bunch of records but they are not discernable.

Re: Syslog Collector Status

Does sh logging buffer on the switch show these syslog messages?. Are these messages being logged into the log file?. Did you try re-starting the Syslog Analyzer on RME?
